Welcome to Roast My Resume.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Roast My Resume website, resume tools, Rory editing experience, digital products, and related services.
By using the service or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Roast My Resume provides
Roast My Resume provides tools and services that may include:
- resume analysis
- resume scoring
- resume feedback
- ATS and keyword analysis
- resume rewriting
- job-targeted resume editing
- downloadable resume files
- LinkedIn-related services
- consultation services
- other career-related tools
Features and offerings may change over time.
2. No employment guarantee
Roast My Resume is designed to help improve resume quality and positioning.
We do not guarantee:
- interviews
- callbacks
- job offers
- employment
- promotions
- compensation increases
- admission into any company or program
- any specific hiring outcome
Hiring decisions are made by employers and other third parties outside our control.
3. Accuracy of information you provide
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
You should only submit experience, education, skills, credentials, accomplishments, metrics, and other facts that are true and that you are comfortable including in your resume.
Roast My Resume may improve wording, organization, clarity, positioning, and presentation.
The service is not intended to fabricate employers, titles, dates, education, credentials, skills, accomplishments, metrics, or other material facts.
4. Rory and AI-assisted content
Some Roast My Resume features use artificial intelligence to analyze, suggest, rewrite, or organize resume content.
AI-generated suggestions may contain errors or may not be appropriate for every situation.
You are responsible for reviewing your final resume and confirming that it accurately represents your background before submitting it to an employer or other third party.
5. Roast + Rewrite editing and finalization
Roast + Rewrite includes an editing stage before finalization.
While the resume remains a draft, you may continue making changes through the editing experience.
Each Roast + Rewrite purchase includes one finalized resume version.
When you choose to finalize:
- the current resume version is locked
- further editing for that project ends
- the final resume is made available in PDF and Word formats
- the same finalized files may be downloaded again
Finalization does not entitle the customer to unlimited new resume versions from the same purchase.
A separate purchase or eligible promotional redemption may be required for a new project.
6. Promotional offers
Roast My Resume may occasionally offer discounts or promotions.
Promotional terms shown with an offer are part of these Terms.
For a buy-one-get-one promotion:
- the free use applies only to the qualifying product stated in the promotion
- the free use must match the qualifying purchased product unless otherwise stated
- the free use has no cash value
- the free use cannot be exchanged for a refund
- promotional offers may be limited to one redemption
- a free redemption does not automatically create another free redemption
Roast My Resume may reject promotional use that appears fraudulent, duplicated, manipulated, or inconsistent with the stated promotion.
7. Payments
Prices are displayed before purchase.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment provider.
Your use of third-party payment services may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility is governed by the Roast My Resume Refund Policy.
Please review the Refund Policy before purchasing.
9. Your resume and uploaded materials
You retain ownership of the resume content and materials you submit.
You give Roast My Resume permission to process those materials as reasonably necessary to provide the service you request.
Do not upload material that:
- you do not have the right to use
- contains unlawful content
- infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights
10. Acceptable use
You may not use Roast My Resume to:
- interfere with or damage the service
- attempt to bypass payment or product restrictions
- abuse promotional offers
- access another user’s information
- reverse engineer protected portions of the service where prohibited by law
- use the service for unlawful activity
11. Service availability
We work to keep Roast My Resume available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Features may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical problems, third-party outages, or updates.
12. Third-party services
Roast My Resume relies on third-party providers for services such as:
- payment processing
- hosting and data storage
- artificial intelligence
- consultation scheduling
Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy practices. They are named in our Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual property
The Roast My Resume name, Rory character, branding, website design, original graphics, and other proprietary materials are owned by Roast My Resume or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
These materials may not be copied, sold, or commercially reused without permission.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Roast My Resume is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the service.
Roast My Resume is also not responsible for hiring decisions made by employers or for decisions a customer makes based on resume suggestions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes.
The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
